Both iOS and Android are supported. The support for iOS and Android in Appeon 2013 R2 (Appeon Mobile 2.0) is the same which means mobile SDK, packaging standalone application, offline access etc. are available in Appeon 2013 R2 (Appeon Mobile 2.0)

What Android devices have been certified by Appeon? |
We have carefully chosen and certified the following Android devices that cover both tablets and smartphones with various screen sizes and CPU capacity: Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 GT-N5100, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000, Google Nexus 7, LG Nexus 4 E960 (smartphone), Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5210, Samsung Google Nexus 10, ASUS MeMo Pad FHD 10 ME302C.

PowerBuilder 9.x, 10.x, 11.x, and 12.x are supported.

Which types of network connections are supported? |
WiFi and 4G wireless connections are the best recommended for Android Beta 2.0, though other types of Internet connections are also supported.

How to verify the network connection between the iPad and the server? |
First make sure they are both connecting to the Internet or the same Wi-Fi router. Secondly, disable the anti-virus software and the Windows firewall. Finally, open the browser on the device, type the URL of IIS to verify IIS is working properly, and then type the URL of AEM to verify Appeon Server is working properly.

No. You can directly use the product for 45 days.

What are the unsupported features in Appeon 2013 R2 (Appeon Mobile 2.0)? |
Appeon 2013 R2 (Appeon Mobile 2.0) is based on the same feature-set of Appeon Mobile 1.5. Please read Supported PB Features for Appeon Mobile for details.

How to verify if Appeon Server is working properly? |
First, open Internet Explorer and type the URL of the application server, for example, type http://localhost if using the IIS server and you should see the IIS welcome page. Then, type http://localhost/AEM/ and you should see the AEM welcome page. Finally, type http://IP_Address/AEM (where IP_Address is the IP address of your Windows PC) and ensure you can still see the AEM welcome page. If all three tests are passed your Appeon Server is working properly.

What methods can be used to run the Android mobile app? |
In Appeon 2013 R2 (Appeon Mobile 2.0), two methods can be used to run the Android application: use Appeon Workspace to deploy/run the Android applications on the mobile devices, or create your own standalone APK file and publish it on the Android marketplace or distribute it via email or Website etc.

Do I need to build the Android mobile app to APK file? |
No. You can directly run the Android mobile app in Appeon Workspace without having to package your own standalone APK file.

Where can I download and install Appeon Workspace? |
You can visit AEM (http://IP_Address/AEM) from your mobile device, and then on the AEM login page, click the Android link to install Appeon Workspace for the Android device.

Can I call the mobile device native APIs (e.g. camera, media, etc.)? |
The following APIs are supported by Appeon 2013 R2 (Appeon Mobile 2.0): camera, media, notification, barcode, mobile device, network connection, and Appeon Workspace. For details, please refer to the Workarounds & API Guide.
